Pacific Ocean Trash-Should Plastics be Banned? Not many people are aware of a simple issue of whether plastics should be banned as opposed to more popular topics such as gun control or abortion. As an outdoorsman, my stance on gun control is obvious. Guns in the hands of law abiding citizens are rarely at the cause of any gun related crime. As for abortion, I feel that this is a private manner between the women at odds weather to keep a child, or terminate for whatever reason, her family and house of worship.
